So, what actually are glutes? The glutes, also known as the gluteal muscles, are the powerhouse behind many of your daily movements and a key focus for building a strong and sculpted lower body. Your glutes are made up of three main muscles:
Gluteus Maximus: The largest and most visible of the glutes, it gives your butt its shape. It’s responsible for powerful movements like squatting, running, and jumping—basically, it’s your “power engine.”
Gluteus Medius: Found on the outer side of your hips, this helps with balance and stability. Want a balanced, well-rounded look? This muscle plays a big role!
